Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck didn't have the greatest game against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, but he was still encouraged and he came away healthy, which is the most important thing after missing all of last season with a shoulder injury.

The biggest positive from the game came on a play that most inside the organization probably didn't want to see. Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs came from behind Luck and pulled him down for a sack on his surgically repaired right shoulder. Luck had no issue getting up and went to the sideline in no pain.

“I told someone after the game, ‘I'm sort of happy to get sacked by Suggs, a legit sack,'” Luck said via ESPN. “I landed on my right elbow sort of reminiscent of how I injured my shoulder a couple of years ago [in Week 3 of the 2015 season]. I didn't feel anything. Didn't give it a second thought. That's a big deal for me, being able to lose that thought bubble.”

It's still clear there is some rust for Luck, but it's also clear he is on the right path and this team is in good hands with him under center. He went 6-of-13 for 50 yards and an interception in the Colts' 20-19 loss.

Luck still hasn't thrown a long ball, making that the next thing the team wants to see. He is expected to play until halftime this week against the San Francisco 49ers, so expect to see him air it out once or twice.

Most importantly, expect to see a smile on his face because he is happy to be back doing what he loves.

“I'm very, very encouraged,” Luck said. “How I feel. I feel great.”

This is a great sign for Indy.
