The Indianapolis Colts are considered a Super Bowl contender by many heading into 2019, but if Andrew Luck isn't healthy, that basically all goes out the window.

According to Zac Keefer of The Athletic, Luck will miss his second practice in four days on Tuesday as a result of a calf issue that has been bothering him for quite a bit.

The good news is that it's not Luck's shoulder, something that kept him out of all of 2017. The bad news is, well, the Colts' starting quarterback is hurt once again, and it doesn't appear to be getting any better.

Keefer adds that “we'll learn more about him after practice,” but there is no doubt this is somewhat concerning.

Obviously, the regular season is still a long ways away, but with the Colts having their first preseason game on Aug. 8, Indianapolis would certainly prefer that Luck gets healthy sooner rather than later.

Luck is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played all 16 games and threw for 4,593 yards, 39 touchdowns and 15 interceptions while completing 67.3 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 98.7 en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Stanford, was originally selected by the Colts with the first overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Luck went on to make the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons, leading the NFL with 40 touchdown passes in 2014. However, since then, injuries have been an issue for Luck, as he appeared in just seven contests in 2015 before suffering a shoulder injury late in 2016 that would ultimately require surgery and cause him to miss all of 2017.
