The Indianapolis Colts are playing well against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers so far, as they're taking advantage of Tampa Bay's weak secondary. Unfortunately, DeForest Buckner fell to injury, raising concerns for his availability.

According to Scott Smith, the “Colts' sideline reports that DeForest Buckner has a knee injury and is questionable to return.” The injury looked terrible, but Buckner was able to walk off the field. He was also seen testing his leg on the sideline, so there is some optimism for his return.

We'll see what the official injury is, but anything regarding the knee is never good. DeForest Buckner has been a beast throughout his career and has avoided injuries so far. Hopefully, it's nothing too serious, as the Colts need him on the defensive line if they hope to beat the Buccaneers.

As of now, Indianapolis holds a 24-14 lead heading into halftime. The Colts took a nice lead early, but the Buccaneers have fought back. DeForest Buckner plays a vital role in the Colts' defense, as he's a monster within the front seven. They need him on the field to bother Tom Brady and help stuff the run game.

Keep an eye on Buckner for now. There should be an update after halftime and he could be back on the field to start the second half. If not, then the chances of Buckner sitting out the remainder of the game increases significantly.

If DeForest Buckner is ruled out, Tom Brady's life becomes much easier anytime he drops back to pass. Look for the Buccaneers to take advantage of the Colts with Buckner sidelined.
