Anthony Castonzo has been ruled out for the Indianapolis Colts in Week 5, putting an end to one of the team's most impressive streaks. According to ESPN's Field Yates, Castonzo's absence snaps Indianapolis' league-best streak of 20 games with the same offensive line unit.

Since the beginning of last season, the Colts have deployed an offensive line with Castonzo, Quenton Nelson, Ryan Kelly, Mark Glowinski, and Braden Smith. Altogether, Indianapolis has only allowed 36 sacks in the past 20 games where all of them started.

Of course, with injuries being a concern — especially for offensive linemen — having the same starting five is extremely impressive. However, the injury bug has bitten Castonzo, as the veteran left tackle is dealing with a rib injury.

Back in March, Castonzo agreed to a two-year, $33 million extension with the Colts despite mulling retirement. The reliable blindside protector may have never been selected to a Pro Bowl, but he has been a vital member of the offense since he joined the franchise in 2011.

While Castonzo will be sidelined for at least a week, his presence will be sorely missed by Indianapolis. The Boston College product has started in 47 of 52 possible starts since the 2018 season, and he has surrendered just one sack to begin this season.

With Castonzo on the mend, the Colts will likely insert either Chaz Green or Le'Raven Clark at the left tackle spot. Both Green and Clark have combined to make a total of 19 starts in their careers.

In recent seasons, Indianapolis has built a formidable offensive line and their streak of having their five starters together will be halted on Sunday.
