Video: Colts’ Philip Rivers hits Trey Burton for 3rd-down TD, as Indy trades punches with Titans
The Indianapolis Colts could extend their lead in the AFC South on Sunday versus the Tennessee Titans. After a touchdown by Derrick Henry by the Titans, Philip Rivers responded with a touchdown pass to Trey Burton to knot the game back up at seven in the first quarter.

On the first drive of the game, the Titans made it known that they want to enforce their will with Henry on the ground. The bruising running back would get Tennessee on the scoreboard first with his 10th rushing touchdown of the season.
But with the Colts needing to respond, Rivers led the offense down the field and found Burton in the back of the end zone. While showing off his uncanny throwing motion, Rivers delivered a perfect pass to the back of the end zone to his tight end.
After signing with Indianapolis before the season, following his release from the Chicago Bears, Burton has gradually become a red-zone target for the Colts. Rivers has looked in Burton’s direction in the red zone, with him now catching three receiving touchdowns despite having a limited role.
The veteran tight end has also scored two rushing touchdowns this season, with both of them coming in back-to-back games in Weeks 6 and 8. Seeing that Indianapolis doesn’t have a definitive No. 1 tight end on the roster, Burton may continue to get more playing time alongside Mo Alie-Cox and Jack Doyle.
