Though Matthew Perry passed away last October, fellow Friends co-star Courteney Cox maintains a spiritual relationship with him.

THR reported that the actress shared her unique connection with CBS Sunday Morning. Perry, who died from acute effects of ketamine on October 28, 2023, played Chandler Bing on Friends from 1994-2004. Meanwhile, Cox played Monica Geller.

Courteney Cox talks about Matthew Perry visiting her

The interview was geared towards the 30th anniversary of Friends premiere on NBC. During this, they discussed a bit about her beloved co-star.

When Perry was brought up, Cox said, “I think he's one of the funniest human beings in the world. He's just so funny. He's genuinely [got] a huge heart.”

She admitted, “He visits me a lot if we believe in that. I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew. I feel like there are a lot of people that are…I think they guide us.”

She states that Matthew's spirit is “around for sure.”

Cox isn't the only celebrity who claims to have been visited by those who have passed away. Call the ghosts, spirits, or the supernatural; there are a range of famous faces who have experienced the unknown.

According to US Weekly, Cher famously stated that Sonny Bono, her late husband who died in 1998, had visited her.

“I actually think that Sonny makes a light go on,” the pop icon said in an AMA session on Reddit. “I have a beautiful chandelier that he makes the light go on when it is impossible; there is no power on. I love ghosts, I prefer ghosts to some people.”

Lady Gaga stated in 2011 that the late designer Alexander McQueen helped her career.

“Right after he died, I wrote Born This Way,” she said. “I think he's up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.”

Additionally, the label abruptly rescheduled the album to be released on the anniversary of his death, which convinced her. “When I heard that, I knew he planned the whole damn thing,” she added. “I didn't even write the f—–g song. He did!”

Meanwhile, The Girl Next Door alum Bridget Marquardt claims Hugh Hefner visited her in a dream after his passing.

“I was standing there, and then all of a sudden, I hear him coming down the stairs, and he comes running down the stairs, and his arms were open wide, and he gave me what we used to call his big laugh, and I was like, ‘Oh my darling' and he gave me a big hug,” she said to E! News. “I could feel his smoke in the satin on his smoking jacket. I could smell his cologne. It was just so, so real.”

It's comforting that, if you believe it, Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry are still friends — even if it is his ghost.
