Jerry Jones must be all smiles over the way his Dallas Cowboys demolished the Philadelphia Eagles in Arlington Monday night. The Cowboys completely dominated Philly on both ends of the field in a 41-21 victory. Their offense was humming with Dak Prescott throwing darts and the pair of Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard picking up big yards on the ground. On defense, the Cowboys got a big night from cornerback Trevon Diggs, who was a disruptive force for Dallas' stop unit.

Jones was so impressed with Diggs that he jokingly said that the defensive back was actually an undercover wide receiver, per Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News.

“A receiver faking it as a D-back,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said of Diggs, who also has interceptions off the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady and Los Angeles Chargers’ Justin Herbert this season. “He plays that ball and makes those special plays. And obviously, he’s not only got talent, but by the way, he’s worked to get in position to make those plays. He’s a difference-maker.”

Diggs came up huge for the Cowboys' defense against the Eagles, as he took one to the house off one of the two interceptions Dallas had in the game.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide star now has three interceptions after three weeks of the 2021 NFL regular season. He could add more to that when the Cowboys host Sam Darnold and the undefeated Carolina Panthers in Week 4.
