The Dallas Cowboys collected a big 27-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 13, much in part to running back Tony Pollard's impressive game. He jetted to the endzone on an epic 58-yard run but in the process, Pollard injured his foot, which limited him in the fourth quarter.
The Cowboys RB spoke to the media on Thursday and revealed that he tore his plantar fascia, leaving his status for this weekend against Washington up in the air. Via Michael Gehlken:

Essentially, Pollard sprained his foot. He was a non-participant in practice on Wednesday, but on Thursday, he was seen doing some work. This is definitely concerning for the Cowboys because Ezekiel Elliott is also dealing with knee pain. If both players miss out in Week 14, it's going to leave their backfield very depleted.
The team went out and signed former fourth-rounder Ito Smith to the practice squad to give them some more depth just in case the top two options are out. Corey Clement and JaQuan Hardy will likely see more touches.
Pollard is enjoying a solid campaign, rushing for an average of 5.6 yards on 107 carries. He also has two touchdowns. The Cowboys will be looking to improve to 9-4 this Sunday and extend their lead at the top of the NFC East.
