Portland Trail Blazers All-Star Damian Lillard and NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal are engaged in a back-and-forth rap battle.
It all started when Dame claimed that he was a better rapper than Shaq in a recent interview. Shaq actually heard Lillard's comments and decided to record a diss track in an attempt to prove his mettle. The very next day, the Blazers point guard fired back with a track of his own.
Both songs are quite good, and the punch lines hit hard. We'll have a go at Shaq's track first, then we'll hear what Dame had to say:
“Always braggin' bout their little max contract. Dame D.O.L.L.A. little money when it comes to Shaq.”
Shaq posted this diss rap on Instagram yesterday, going after Damian Lillard

Lillard went straight for the throat in his track, calling out what some view as Shaq's shortcomings throughout his career:
“Kind of like the Cavs ain't really need Diesel ass. And even in Miami, won that on the strength of Flash.”

Now that both sides have laid down their bars, Damian Lillard is asking Shaq to stand down. Whether or not Shaq will heed this warning remains to be seen:

It's tough to gauge who came out on top in this rap battle, as both sides came strong. For now, we'll have to wait and see if this feud goes any further.
