UFC London ended up being a huge event and many were thrilled with the outcomes of the fights. Many English fighters won and it created the narrative that the promotion was booking them in favorable matchups. Dana White talked about it after the event.
The UFC president was left very impressed by the English crowd and even vowed to come back before the year is over. Dana White appreciated the energy that was provided that night in London.
“Every time we put on an event in London it’s an unbelievable experience,” White said during the UFC London post-fight press conference via MMAFighting. “The fans are incredible, and the fights are always off the charts. It’s a different kind of energy in England. And I can’t wait to get back there with a fight card on March 19th.”
There was a lot of talk about the competition the English fighters were facing at UFC London. Paddy Pimblett was the main focus as many felt Kazula Vargas was not on his level and presented an ‘easy’ fight.
Dana White was quick to dismiss the idea that the promotion favored the English fighters and booked them in easy fights. UFC London just ended up being an excellent event for the hometown fighters.
“They were all fighting real people. These weren’t like, hometown set-up fights. They fought tough guys.”
Dana White is hoping that the UFC can return to England before the year is up. Manchester has been a key city that has been discussed in recent times.
