Broncos Week 18 Predictions

4. Broncos defense shuts down Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill

Many see this as an impossible feat. However, the Broncos have one of the best defenses in the league, which bodes well for their chances. The secondary has been elite this season and considering the Chiefs excel so much in the passing game, Denver matches up well against their divisional rival.

It's still a tough task, as the Chiefs are so great on offense. However, the Broncos have a shot to stun Kansas City on Saturday. To do so, the front seven must get in the backfield as often as possible. Meanwhile, the secondary must tag Tyreek Hill throughout the game. If they can do that, Denver should stay within reach late in the fourth quarter.

3. Noah Fant has another big performance

With multiple teammates ruled out in Week 17, Noah Fant stepped up and delivered for the Broncos. It's been a rocky year for him, but there is no denying his talent. He'll improve once the franchise upgrades their quarterback situation, but Fant has a chance to make his case as an elite tight end against the Chiefs.

2. Javonte Williams proves he can be a superstar running back next year

Although the Broncos utilize a two-running back system, Javonte Williams has been the most efficient rusher for this offense. Melvin Gordon has had his moments this year, but Williams' future is bright. We should get a taste of what to expect next season, as he aims to dominate Kansas City's mediocre run defense.

1. Broncos somehow find a way to upset the Chiefs

Most of the pressure is on the offense. The Broncos have been hindered due to poor quarterback play. They have the pieces to become a contender in this league, which is a reason why the fanbase is so excited. Regardless, the Chiefs' defense has stepped up in the second half of the season and won't let Denver have anything easy.

Look for the Broncos to establish the run early and try to control the clock. That will keep the ball out of Patrick Mahomes' hands as much as possible. If they can do that while the defense performs as it has all year, Denver will have a shot at pulling off a massive upset.
