The Dallas Mavericks have had some issues in maintaining a healthy core of key players. This season, Devin Harris suffered a strain in his left big toe, forcing him to sit out 10 games of the regular season. Little did he know, this injury would continue to impede his performance level.

“I didn’t know it was going to be as troublesome as it was coming into be during the season,” said Harris. “I never really could get it under control and then I had a month where I missed time.”

Point guard J.J. Barea also had his fair share of complications. Throughout the season, Barea had been dealing with a right groin injury that he plans to let heal during the summer. Additionally, he is supposed to receive surgery on his right medial meniscus, but he does not see this as a huge issue; Barea hopes to play for the Puerto Rican national basketball team this summer.

All the Mavericks can hope for is a speedy recovery for both players so they can be ready to take on the next regular season.
