Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill struggled on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and head coach Adam Gase had some interesting comments about his quarterback after the game.

The Dolphins opened up the game with a 78-yard touchdown drive, but that was really the last positive of the day for the offense. The defense kept the Dolphins in it for most of the game until Tannehill threw a pick-6 during the fourth quarter. Gase thought that Tannehill should have just eaten the ball instead of trying to make a play.

That wasn't the only mistake Gase thought his quarterback made:

“I think today was a rough day for him,” Gase said, via the Palm Beach Post. “I wish he would have played a little better. I wish he would have made a few more decisions that were different. I think there’s been games that he has — that he’s played really well — and there’s been some games where we haven’t played well. And it’s as much on me as it is on him. I have to do a better job of making sure that he’s doing the right things at the right time.”

Tannehill's contract is a big topic of discussion in Miami, and Gase's comments can't bode well for his future. Tannehill still has two years left on his contract, but the team does have an out after this season with the only consequence being a little over $13 million in dead money.

Ryan Tannehill has one more game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills to prove why he is still the quarterback of the future.
