The Miami Dolphins are a deep sleeper of a Super Bowl LVIII contender. Coach Mike McDaniel, QB Tua Tagovailoa and wide receiver Tyreek Hill led a stacked and balanced Dolphins offense that is as fun to watch as any team's offense in the NFL.

Recently, Hill set a record not seen since the days of Torry Holt for the then-St. Louis Rams. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey's dominant numbers were discussed leading to notoriety for the Miami superstar.

On Monday, it was announced that the Dolphins are signing Jason Pierre-Paul, the longtime New York Giants standout who has played just one game for the New Orleans Saints this season.

Pierre-Paul was signed of the Saints' practice squad.

Pierre-Paul Thanks Dolphins for Opportunity

In a message released by NFL Media content editor Grant Gordon, Pierre-Paul thanked the Dolphins for the opportunity. The South Florida native has nearly 100 sacks in 14 years in the NFL.

Fans React to Pierre-Paul Signing

Following the signing, fans took to social media to react.

Pierre-Paul was once a household name and defensive line mate of superstar analyst Michael Strahan, the NFL's all-time sacks leader.

Now, he is presumed to be in the twilight of his career. A fireworks accident and hand injury in 2016 added to adversity that Pierre-Paul, a former defensive end-turned-linebacker, has faced over the course of his career.

Pierre-Paul played his college ball at the University of Central Florida.

The talented and athletic, high motor and high IQ linebacker had 9.5 sacks for the Buccaneers in 2020 but his production has declined ever since.

“I would have left also. This team will not win much more games this year,” one fan said, appearing to approach the situation from a New Orleans Saints perspective.

“Let's go!” one fan added. “Take my money,” another fan added, seemingly referring to their intentions to purchase tickets to Dolphins games soon.
