Dolphins’ Ryan Fitzpatrick hits Preston Williams with TD pass on 3rd and goal vs Jaguars

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Preston Williams, Dolphins, Jaguars

The Miami Dolphins are looking for their first win of the 2020 NFL season in this Florida showdown with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fortunately, they have managed to get off to an ideal start thanks to quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and the offense. Fitzpatrick found wide receiver Preston Williams in the end zone to cap a 12-play, 84-yard opening drive that spanned nearly seven minutes, via NFL Twitter:

Fitzpatrick made headlines coming into this matchup by declaring beards as the superior facial hair over mustaches and his comments certainly did not go unnoticed by quarterback Gardner Minshew. Fortunately, he has wasted no time in establishing his case on the first possession.

The onus will ow fall on Minshew to respond if he hopes to even the score both on and off the field. Given the Dolphins’ winless start to the year, it is safe to say that Fitzpatrick is playing for much more than bragging rights.
