It's widely expected that Erling Haaland will leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with the decision on his next club potentially coming within the next few weeks. The German giants are already preparing to lose their talisman and it appears they already have a clear idea of where he will end up.

Per The Times, Dortmund believes Haaland will put pen to paper on a huge deal at Man City:

Erling Haaland is expected to join Manchester City in the summer after being offered a salary package that would make him the Premier League’s highest-paid player, according to his present club Borussia Dortmund.

The Norwegian international has a release clause of around £63 million, despite being under contract at Signal Iduna until 2024. But, it's clear that Haaland has nothing left to prove in the Bundesliga and is ready for a new challenge.

City, who currently sits at the top of the Premier League table and just one point above Liverpool, continues to succeed without a true striker. But, getting a prototypical No. 9 like the Dortmund frontman would undoubtedly make them even better, especially considering the type of playmakers in this squad like Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish, and Bernardo Silva, who could put goals on a platter for the youngster.

The talks between Man City and Haaland have discussed a contract in excess of £500,000 per week. Needless to say, he's about to get paid. Whether the 21-year-old joins the Premier League champions or Real Madrid, who are also very keen, Erling Haaland is set for a significant increase in wages.
