The Philadelphia Eagles are currently trying to trade receiver Alshon Jeffery, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

However, the Eagles are having difficulty finding trading partners for Jeffrey, as his contract and injury situation make it difficult for them. This past year, Jeffery suffered a season-ending foot injury and was forced to undergo surgery to repair his Lisfranc injury.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was asked how Jeffrey was doing last week, and he told reporters that he looked really good.

“He’s looking really good,” Pederson said at the end of August, via SB Nation's Bleeding Green Nation. And we’re hoping to get him out there soon with the team at some point here in the near future. I’ve been impressed with his workout, with his treatment, with his rehab, and we’ll see here in the next couple of weeks, but obviously as you mentioned, not going to put a timetable on him or make any decisions at this time.

According to reports, Jeffery is expected to might miss Week 1; however, he might return to the lineup soon after that. Nevertheless, that may not for the Eagles if he were to get traded before the season started. Jeffery is scheduled to make $9.91 million in base salary.

This past season, Jeffery caught 43 catches for 490 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games. In three seasons in with the Eagles, he caught 165 receptions for 2,122 yards and 19 touchdowns.

The Eagles will play their first game of the regular season on Sept. 13. against the Washington Football Team.
