The Philadelphia Eagles, Carson Wentz, and Alshon Jeffery have been snakebitten in 2019. They've suffered a laundry list of nagging injuries that seem to affect their week-to-week game plan, as well as a stable of other players on injured reserve.

Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery joined the latter after suffering a Lisfranc injury in week 14. Signal-caller Carson Wentz was asked about his relationship with the Eagles' lead pass-catcher and had nothing but good things to say according to Glenn Earby of the Eagles Wire via Penn Live.

“Yeah, I have a great relationship with Alshon. He’s been an awesome teammate ever since he got here. When he first signed here, we went to dinner and we got to know each other, and we both had high expectations for each other. It’s been awesome getting to know him [Jeffery] as a guy and as a teammate and seeing the plays he’s been able to make over the years, this year as well, I love that guy. The injury is really unfortunate.” Wentz said.

Unfortunately, the duo won't get to play together until the 2020 season. That leaves the star quarterback without his top receiver, and with quite a few unproven wideouts. Rookie JJ Arcega-Whiteside is currently listed as the wide receiver 1 on the depth chart.
