Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson is back where his career initially started. It seems he has much higher expectations for his team this time around.

Much has happened since Jackson was last wearing an Eagles uniform. According to Sheil Kapadia of The Athletic, he admits it was tough watching his former team win a Super Bowl without him.

“I want to be able to put some jewelry on my finger. I sat back and watched them (win a Super Bowl).”

It is never easy for a player to watch their former team win a championship without them. In Jackson's case, he was already four seasons removed from Philadelphia when they managed to win it all. Their recent success seems to have led to a sense of unfinished business for him.

Jackson's goals may seem a bit lofty in his first year back with the team. However, they are certainly reasonable and are in line with what the front office envisions for this team moving forward. Although the Eagles have made some significant changes to their roster this offseason, expectations are still rather high in Philadelphia.

DeSean Jackson and the Eagles will certainly have their work cut out for them if they hope to return to the Super Bowl. They parted ways with perhaps their most key piece in quarterback Nick Foles this offseason and the pressure will be on quarterback Carson Wentz to prove he can finish the job. Having a speedster like Jackson will give him another explosive weapon to throw to on offense.
