Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Golden Tate is a free agent now that the 2018 NFL season has come to a close, but it remains a mystery exactly where he will play next season. Tate may want to stay with Philadelphia, but the lack of extension talks may lead him to believe the team has other intentions.

During his time with Philadelphia, Tate was somewhat of a factor in the eight games he was with the team. Unfortunately, it took a while for Tate to establish chemistry with the team and only accounted for 30 receptions, 278 yards, and one touchdown. The quarterback situation was a bit rough for Tate to adjust to as well as he played with both Carson Wentz and Nick Foles.

Tate's destination may not yet be known, but it wouldn't exactly be a shock if the Eagles decided to move on from the nine-year receiver. The Eagles have plenty of weapons on offense and considering the lack of an impact Tate had with the team, they could look elsewhere to fill the position. Alshon Jeffery, Zach Ertz, Nelson Agholor, and even rookie Dallas Goedert provide fantastic upside in the offense as well as the running backs the Eagles possess.

The Eagles will likely look to maintain other players like Brandon Graham who has proven to be a difference maker on defense. Even cornerback Ronald Darby could hear some serious extension talks from Philadelphia in free agency. It will be an interesting offseason for a team two seasons removed from a Super Bowl victory.
