Having previously played for Nick Saban, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts appears to be having zero issues adjusting to life with Nick Sirianni.

Despite the new Eagles coach not yet publicly committing to Hurts as the starting gunslinger, the young quarterback actually sees value in that approach, pulling from his experiences with Nick Saban when playing for him at Alabama.

“I value everything that Coach has brought here,” Eagles QB Jalen Hurts said via ESPN. “I remember back in my days at Alabama, Coach [Nick] Saban, hearing him talk about discipline, commitment, effort, toughness and pride, having these core values that he is trying to instill in the team. In the end, it all worked out for the team.

“You see Coach Nick Sirianni coming in preaching connection, accountability, competition, fundamentals and football IQ, preaching all these things. I know in all those different avenues, all those different values and principles that we're trying to instill here in Philly, no one is above that and everybody has to go to work. So for me, I know rent is due every day. It's always been that way for me … and when that rent is due, I don't plan on missing no payments.”

Eagles fans are surely hoping Nick Sirianni finds similar success in the NFL as Nick Saban has in college. They might not exactly want the latter's Miami Dolphins tenure, though.

Nonetheless, the Eagles are skewing young on the offensive side of the ball. If/when Nick Sirianni finally commits to Jalen Hurts, it'll be a bunch of fresh faces and a brand new era in Philadelphia.
