Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had some encouraging words for former college teammate and current Miami Dolphin Tua Tagovailoa after their primetime matchup last Sunday.

As the game came to a close and the two teams met in the center of the field, Hurts met with Tagovailoa and each said to “keep going bro” and “stay healthy.” Hurts said to the Dolphins quarterback, “You're having a hell of a year.”

It's no secret the history the two share back in their collegiate days with the Alabama football program. In the 2018 college football national championship game, Hurts was benched for Tagovailoa who was a freshman at the time as the Crimson Tide were down 13-0 to Georgia's football team at halftime.

Tagovailoa would go on to complete the comeback winning the game 26-23 as his final touchdown throw was to DeVonta Smith on a 41-yard strike. However, the tides would change as in the 2018 SEC championship game against Georgia, Tagovailoa would go down with an injury, which Hurts came in and led Alabama on a comeback win.

The two have been intertwined on their careers ever since the 2016 national championship game and it looks like it'll never stop since the two have found major success with their respective NFL teams. In their first NFL matchup, the Eagles would overpower the Dolphins, 31-17.

Hurts threw for 279 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, as Tagovailoa tossed 216 yards with one touchdown pass. Who knows what the future holds for both former Alabama quarterbacks, but there is a chance they'll face off again, possibly this season.

Philadelphia's next test will be against the Washington Commanders next Sunday as the Eagles look to be 7-1.
