Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that running backs Jay Ajayi and Darren Sproles are expected to return to the field when the team practices on Wednesday, according to Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk.

“They’re both day to day right now,” Pederson said. “We’ll evaluate them again tomorrow when the players are in and see. But I would expect, barring any setbacks, they would both be available.”

Ajayi missed the Eagles' 20-16 victory over the Indianapolis Colts with a back injury, while Sproles sat out with a hamstring injury. The Eagles still ran for 152 yards on 35 carries, with Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement both picking up 56 yards on the ground. Smallwood and Clement each added three catches for a combined total of 54 yards.

Ajayi has rushed the ball 22 times for 85 yards on the season, with three touchdowns to his name. Sproles only has five carries for 10 yards, along with four catches for 22 yards.

The return of these two players will only add more weapons for Carson Wentz to have at his disposal. Alshon Jeffery is also nearing a return. Wentz had a so-so season debut against the Colts in his return from a torn ACL, throwing for 255 yards, one touchdown and one interception to finish with a quarterback rating of 84.9.

The Eagles will travel to Tennessee to take on the Titans this Sunday. Philadelphia is 2-1 on the young season.

As it stands, Philly is a 3.5-point favorite on the road in Tennessee, according to BetOnline.ag. To place a bet on the game or any others, click here and use promo code CLUTCH50 for a 50% Welcome Bonus when you signup with BetOnline.ag!
