It was around this time last year that quarterback Nick Foles began his march in leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl.

This year, circumstances are a bit different, as the Eagles are currently on the outside looking in of the NFC playoff picture, but that isn't stopping Foles from giving it all he has in a big game.

Like here, for example, as he throws a deep touchdown pass to Nelson Agholor:

That was an absolute perfect pass from Foles, who is having a monster day against the Houston Texans. It represented his fourth touchdown pass of the afternoon and his fifth score of the season.

The 29-year-old, who may be in his final days with the Eagles, is filling in for Carson Wentz just like last season. This time, Wentz is dealing with back issues that have knocked him out for the remainder of the 2018 campaign.

Last year, Foles stepped in late in the season after Wentz tore his ACL and led the Eagles through the playoffs, taking them to a shocking Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.

Foles is in his second stint with the Eagles.

He was originally drafted by Philadelphia in 2012 and became its starting quarterback during his rookie campaign. The following year, Foles made the Pro Bowl after throwing for 2,891 yards, 27 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

After spending the first three years of his career in Philly, Foles landed with the then-St. Louis Rams for one year before making his way to the Kansas City Chiefs for one season.

He then returned to the Eagles last year.
