The extremely banged-up Philadelphia Eagles were unable to handle the Seattle Seahawks in the opening round of the playoffs. With starting tight end Zach Ertz leading the way on offense despite recently suffering both a rib injury and a lacerated kidney, the Eagles couldn't get much going. The Seahawks managed to grab a road victory.

After the game, which quickly became the Eagles' final go-round of a very long 2019-20 campaign, Zach Ertz spoke to reporters while explaining how he played through his significant injuries.

While Ertz played through the pain, starting quarterback Carson Wentz was unable to make it through Sunday's outing. Wentz almost immediately left the team's 17-9 loss to the Seahawks after suffering what appeared to be a head injury in the first half of the NFC matchup in Philadelphia. As a result, the Eagles offense was unable to move the football, even with the team's defense holding relatively strong against the always dangerous Seahawks.
