Every gamer dreamed at least one time that they can earn money playing games and Opera GX can make that dream come true. There are still a few days left for the submission of applications before Opera GX starts selecting their summer job intern.

Opera GX is offering gamers a one-of-a-kind summer job that every gamer would die for. This summer, Opera GX is offering one lucky gamer the chance to earn money playing video games, with a one-time payment of $5,000. This opportunity comes as Opera GX promotes its GX.games platform. The job description is simply “picking up their keyboard, playing games on the GX.games platform for one week, and sharing their favorites with the Opera GX team.” It completely sounds like beta testing, except all games in GX.games are feature-complete and already available for public consumption. For a week of work, the lucky gamer will be earning about $700 a day for the job.

To apply, interested applicants will only need to record a video of themselves playing any game of their choice on GX.games and explaining why they decide to pick that game. The video must then be shared on Twitter or TikTok with the hashtag #bestsummerjobever and tag @operaGXofficial before July 7th to participate. The successful applicant will be chosen by the Opera GX team. The applicant won't need to submit a CV, but terms and conditions do apply, which also require the applicant to at least be 18 years old.

GX.games features mostly casual and arcade games, although there are also fully-realized games like the Metroidvania game Treasures of Tristenwald. The platform is also notable for allowing users to create and upload their own games using GameMaker. Currently, games on the platform can only be played using the Opera GX browser. Opera GX is the gaming-centric version of the Opera browser, specifically built with gamers in mind. The browser includes unique features like CPU, RAM, and Network limiters, to prevent lag so games run smoothly, while also introducing Discord and Twitch in the sidebar to ensure players don't miss a beat.

Opera GX also released earlier this year the Gamer Rage Report with the goal of helping reduce gamer rage for a better playing experience.
