Millions of hours have already been poured into Elden Ring, as FromSoftware reported that they've sold 12 million copies since launch. Recently, a player by the name of Why Lee uploaded a video on Gyfcat showing him hitting a wall for more than a minute. This uncovers a previously-undiscovered area in Volcano Manor, one of the late-game areas in Elden Ring. The lack of in-game maps or indication make it hard to find, but players have finally found this well-hidden room. In this room, players meet two new NPCs, and possibly opens up Elden Ring to more content, if many more of these rooms exist. The video was then shared on Reddit by u/teristam, and cue the abject amazement and horror of fans, knowing that there are still many secrets to be found in Elden Ring.

Secret walls have always existed in FromSoftware games. However, long-time fans know that these walls could be uncovered with a simple few hits. Therefore, the newly-discovered secret fake walls that take a dozen or so hits to uncover have taken players off guard. How many more of these secret walls exist in Elden Ring? Are there more secret walls that we could find? We'd never know until we've hit all walls in the game at least a gazillion times. What's more, since Patch 1.03, fans now know that FromSoftware won't shy away from introducing new content over post-launch patches, like new locations and questlines. Hence, the possibilities are endless, as FromSoftware could continue introducing more of these secret rooms later on.
