Have you ever wanted to play permanent Elden Ring multiplayer where you don't get kicked out after a boss fight? Follow our Elden Ring guide on Elden Ring Multiplayer to find out how.

Multiplayer in Elden Ring as the developers intended is very limited. It's either you come out to duel or assist other players in beating bosses. However, some people want to expand their Elden Ring multiplayer experience further. Instead of coming in and out for just specific parts of the game, some people want to play through the entire game together. Sadly, this is not possible with the base game. However, fans have always shown that if there's a will, there's a way – especially for the modding community.

How to Play Permanent Elden Ring Multiplayer

Modder LukeYui developed a mod for the PC version of Elden Ring that makes the game's co-op experience seamless – which can be done with up to four players at a time.

The seamless co-op mod also doesn't simply end with just adding more players in a session. Concerns over scaling and balancing have also been addressed, making sure that the game retains its challenge even while using this mod. Some quality of life features are also introduced, including a spectator mode that initiates when dying on boss fights, as well as synchronized waypoints, among other features. Progress is also shared between characters for any progression that happens during the session – however, each successful boss fight will only register for that specific boss fight – previous bosses prerequisite or required for that boss will not be retroactively cleared in the guests' own world.

Now, some players might be worried about how this mod interacts with FromSoftware's anti-cheat systems for the game. While using this mod, the game disconnects from the public servers, essentially cutting your session off from the rest of the world, and instead uses a peer-to-peer connection to connect the host to the guest characters. This makes sure that the game won't be detected by FromSoftware during your session, making it immune to the game's anti-cheat and should not result in your account getting banned.

Fans who want to try out the Elden Ring Seamless Co-Op Mod could find it on Nexus mods. So far, this mod, in our opinion, is one of the most value-adding modifications to Elden Ring. Give it a try sometime.
