Last week's two-episode premiere definitely worked to put everyone's favorite Jedi master back on the map. This week, though, takes everything to a whole new level as the stakes are higher. Along with these, of course, are a lot of hidden details and fun trivia. To help you unpack the biggest and most important of them, here are the Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 easter eggs you should be looking out for.

Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 easter eggs

Obi-Wan Kenobi, Star Wars, Entertainment

The return of Darth Vader

As the episode started, Obi-Wan can be seen meditating inside the transport as he and Leia were making their way to Mapuzo. The former Jedi Master was besieged by his memories of the Clone Wars, primarily those of Anakin Skywalker and his fall on Mustafar. While this is happening, the man formerly known as the Chosen One is seen donning various armor and cybernetic pieces, which would turn him into the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader.

Apart from Rogue One, Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 is the longest Star Wars fans have seen a live-action Vader outside of the original trilogy. His base of operations on Mustafar harkens back to his mutilation on Revenge of the Sith, the same planet where it happened.

It's also a form of poetic justice that Hayden Christensen, the actor who was once derided for his stoic portrayal of Anakin Skywalker, is back for this series. That, and James Earl Jones returning to lend his iconic voice for Darth Vader himself.

Leia inquires about her real parents

During episode three's first half, Obi-Wan and Leia were making their way to the spaceport by hitching a ride with a local named Freck. At some point, they were joined by several Stormtroopers who questioned the pair's identity. This is where Obi-Wan improvises a cover story centered around Leia's supposed mother to draw attention away from them.

Once the Stormtroopers leave, Leia asks Obi-Wan whether he knew her real mother, to which he replies that it's just a story. The young princess then asks him if he is her true father. “I wish I could say I was, but no, I'm not,” Kenobi replies.

This simple response calls back to Revenge of the Sith's climactic confrontation between Kenobi and Skywalker over the latter's accusation that the master is interested in Padme Amidala. While Kenobi has been known to be romantically linked to Duchess Satine of Mandalore, this remark can be seen as a confirmation of how he sees the former senator of Naboo while she was alive.

Although there won't be any confirmation soon for Star Wars fans, this little response to a young Leia can potentially lead to a revelation that Obi-Wan harbored feelings for Amidala behind Anakin's back. And while the truth won't possibly come out, Obidala fans will have more than what they had for the past few years.

Quinlan Vos

After passing the halfway mark, Tala revealed that she has turned from the Empire by secretly helping Force-sensitive individuals escape their clutches. As she was explaining this, Obi-Wan recognized an inscription on the wall as one that belonged to Quinlan Vos.

Even before Disney purchased Star Wars from George Lucas, Vos has been one of the most popular characters in the Expanded Universe. That has remained as the said Jedi was incorporated into the new canon with him being part of the assassination attempt on Count Dooku's life during the Clone Wars. He also briefly turned to the Dark Side before coming back to the light.

With the mention of Vos, it isn't hard to imagine that he will appear soon in a future project. Star Wars fans will surely have a lot to look forward to when that happens.

The Jedi Order logo

While Obi-Wan was facing Darth Vader to give Tala and Leia more time to escape, Reva discovered the escape path the pair set on. But before she can pursue the pair, the Third Sister found a Jedi Order crest carved on the wooden wall.

It should be remembered that the series opened with several younglings escaping the Jedi Temple after Emperor Palpatine enacted Order 66. A young girl resembling Reva can be seen as among those who made their way out.

If Reva seeing the crest is any indication, it would seem that she harbors great anger towards the Jedi order after the events of Revenge of the Sith. This can come up as the series races towards its end and give Reva a fitting backstory on how and why she turned out to be the way she is now.

With three more episodes down the line, it remains to be seen how Reva's ar will be completed. Her, and how Obi-Wan Kenobi will progress from the character we got at the start of the series to the wise, old Jedi we first meet in A New Hope.
