One Piece's Zoro Mackenyu (or Mackenyu Arata) said that his character will have “better” fight scenes in season two during his interview at Comic Con Arabia, CBR reported.

The Netflix reimagining of the beloved manga and anime classic has been renewed for a second season right after the premiere of the first. Recent updates have said that Luffy will face a singular challenge: leadership.

As for Zoro, the actor said the audience should “expect a lot more” for the upcoming season. This could mean, as he said, more action scenes but also more major character introductions.

Since the first season ended with the Straw Hat Pirates making their way to the grand line, the next storyline might just be the Arabasta Saga. This means more action sequences against new enemies and new locations. However, Loguetown can be seen in the post-credits scene so the pirates may have to make one more stop.

For Zoro, his three swords might well be needed when they meet the rest of Baroque Works. After all, the audience met Mr. 7 in season one, and the organization has 2,000 members; one down, 1,999 to go. That should keep Zoro busy.

As for Luffy, Nami, Usopp and Sanji, there'll be plenty for them to do. The storylines that are currently established are Loguetown and Drum Line. That means two additional characters in season two: Smoker and Tony Tony Chopper.

One's a foe and one's a friend. The Straw Hat Pirates will definitely be right in the thick of it when One Piece season two comes.

As to when that is, no word yet. While the writers rooms are now open, we're only a few weeks away into the holiday season so the earliest date for One Piece to start production would some time in spring 2024.
