Red Bull's Sergio Perez shed some light on Lewis Hamilton's win at the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix, mentioning the rival car's straight-line speed.

Despite starting at P10, Hamilton managed to garner an impressive win, finishing above Max Verstappen, Valtteri Bottas, and Sergio Perez himself. Mercedes' car was terrific throughout the race; specifically hamilton's late overtake on Verstappen before going through a turn.

“I mean, the straight-line speed was from another planet,” Perez said. “I looked at my mirror at the exit, and I felt very safe.

“But then I look back into it again and he’s right next to me. It was really impressive.”

With just three races to go, Mercedes extends their lead to 11 points in the constructor's standings of F1. However, Perez stresses that Qatar could be a different story for Red Bull.

“They’ve been really surprising. So we’ll see what we are able to do going into Qatar.

“I think it’s going to be a different track. Probably the straight-line speed is not so relevant over there so hopefully we can be a lot more competitive.”

After Hamilton's masterclass of a victory, Verstappen's 14- point lead in the driver's standings can be slim enough for the British star to handle. As one of the most exciting F1 seasons nears its end, who will bag the crown?
