Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is very open to going toe-to-toe with his Formula 1 rival and Mercedes superstar Lewis Hamilton again.

After enduring a controversial season, Dutch racing star Max Verstappen has finally claimed his first ever Formula One world championship with a victory over his ultimate nemesis Lewis Hamilton at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

All the drama on and off the track has come down to the final race of the season as Verstappen and Hamilton came in to Yas Marina with tied on points in the Formula 1 drivers' standings.

As expected, the pair delighted the fans with another epic duel that boiled down to a tense final lap decider. Verstappen looked set to secure the second place with Hamilton ahead of him. However, the 24-year-old rallied his way up to take the lead and finish the last lap of the season with a stunning victory in a movie-like fashion.

Moments after copping his first Formula 1 title, Verstappen “praises Hamilton as a great driver and competitor, saying they had issues but that’s what happens, and he’s looking forward to doing it again,” per The Guardian.

It can be recalled that Verstappen's route to Formula 1 championship this season was no walk in the park. He has been handed several penalties due to numerous crashing incidents with Hamilton. Still, the Dutchman managed to stay within striking distance with the seven-time world champion in the standings, having won 10 decisive victories throughout the season.

Verstappen will be looking forward to repeat his most valuable feat when he enters the eight season of his soaring career next year.
