MiHoYo always introduces new enemies whenever they introduce new locations. Genshin Impact‘s version 2.4 is no different. With the new location Enkanomiya located in Inazuma in the Watatsumi Islands, there are also new Genshin Impact 2.4 enemies. Let's take a look at them.
Genshin Impact 2.4 Enemies: Bathysmal Vishaps and Pyro Abyss Lectors
There are three new enemies previewed during the Genshin Impact 2.4 Special Program Livestream. These are the new Bathysmal Vishaps and the Pyro-attuned Abyss Lectors. Both enemy types should be familiar with players. We've seen them before, but they arrive with a fresh new coat of paint in version 2.4. Sadly, we don't have a lot of official information about these enemies yet, but here's what we know about Genshin Impact 2.4's enemies:
Bathysmal Vishaps – There are two types: the Rimebiter and the Bolteater. Both of them reside within the depths of Enkanomiya underwater. The only difference we know so far is that Rimebiters have higher Cryo Elemental Resistance than their Bolteater counterparts. According to their in-game description, they are a stronger breed of Vishaps compared to those found in Liyue. Getting hit by these Vishaps' attacks will drain your energy and allow them to deal more damage to you. The less energy you have at that point, the more damage you'll take. Boss versions of these Vishaps also appear in Enkanomiya, working together as a pair.
Abyss Lector: Fathomless Flames (Pyro Abyss Lectors) – We've seen the Hydro Abyss Herald and the Electro Abyss Lector, now get ready to meet the Pyro Abyss Lector: the Fathomless Flames. They can damage players over time with Pyro burst damage even when shielded, making it important to dodge their attacks. They will also summon Pyro Cores, allowing them to perform even stronger abilities.
Pyro Specter – The same Specter's we've grown accustomed to in Inazuma will also be appearing in Enkanomiya. These are Pyro-infused, different from the Hydro, Geo, and Anemo-infused Specters from the past.
These two new Genshin Impact 2.4 enemies will pose a healthy challenge against Travelers. However, we don't think players will actually have a hard time with them. They're not yet the big bosses that will have you scratching your heads, after all.
