Arc System Works clearly appreciates the value of player feedback. Guilty Gear Strive would never have been delayed otherwise. Game release delays happen all the time but the end-products vary in quality. Hopefully, Strive comes out answering all of the expectations and hopes for fans everywhere. The main fighting aspect of the title seems to be all set but the true troubles come from the weird unique lobby system.
Article Continues BelowGuilty Gear Strive features a fully 2D lobby world. The lobby shows each player sporting pixelated avatars. Several players noted the jarring differences between the lobby art and the lush anime-style in-game models. The nature of the lobby means that several players occupying the space could turn out to be cluttered. Players found it difficult to look for specific players among the waves of 2d pixel models.
Arc System Works didn't clarify whether the 2D lobby would be removed completely or simply retooled. However, one thing remains clear, players everywhere need to wait for Guilty Gear Strive's official release on June 11, 2021.
