LCK Spring 2022 Playoffs: Teams, Brackets, and Results

The League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Spring 2022 Group Stage has concluded, and T1 is looking unstoppable. Led by Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, T1 dominated the rest of the region. Eventually, T1 went on to go undefeated for the entirety of the Group Stage, the first time this feat was achieved in the region since its conception. T1 was the first team to qualify for the LCK Spring 2022 Playoffs followed by Gen.G Esports and DRX. These teams now look to conquer the LCK Spring 2022 Playoffs next.

Overall, it was a dominating performance from DAMWON. The games were concluded early in the game, and DK just looked a level above BRO.

It was a heartbreaking series for Fredit Brion, and hopefully they bounce back in the next split.

DRX and Kwangdong Freecs looked evenly matched as duked it out the full five times this series. The games themselves were back and forth, and the series tells a similar story. In the end, Kwangdong Freecs clinch a spot in the semifinals with T1 as the next team standing in their way.

This series was a long one. A surprising amount of Ziggs-Leona and Xayah-Yuumi pairings in the bot lane were present during the five games, but not before Gen.G Support Son “Lehends” Si-woo spiced it up with a Shen pick in the first game.

The games were played out in LCK fashion – slow, macro-focused gameplay, and both teams trying to make as little mistakes as possible. In game 5, DK held a dominant lead for a majority in the game, until Gen.G mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon on Ahri simply refused to lose and mounted a comeback from 10k gold behind.

Gen.G move on to face T1 in the LCK Spring 2022 Finals.

T1 look to conclude their undefeated split with a win in the Finals against Gen.G. Even though they looked dominant in all of the games, T1 can still be taken down as demonstrated by Gen.G in Game 2. They returned stronger for the next two games however, and claimed the Championship after a 3-1 victory.

T1, in the entirety of LCK Spring 2022, won 20 series and lost none. They will represent the LCK in the Mid-Season Invitational to be held this May.
