For a while now, Rust may have a beautiful open world to explore. However, it isn’t necessarily known to have outstanding graphics. We cannot discount the fact that Rust is indeed a great game. Its longevity and loyal community are proof enough for that. That's why Facepunch Studios don't let up with the updates. Facepunch has always made an effort to deliver graphical upgrades every year. This year might get the biggest upgrade yet, specifically for RTX card owners.
Rust is known to have some performance issues within the game due to its poor optimization. The improved graphics always have an impact on the performance of the game. That's why Nvidia's announcement that they're adding DLSS support for Rust is a big deal. Not only will Rust look better, but performance will also improve, too.
DLSS stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling. Its purpose is to upscale low-resolution to higher-resolution for high-resolution computer monitors. This only means that graphics will no longer be too much of a problem especially if players want to play on the highest setting. This will also be accompanied by Nvidia Reflex which was built to boost a system’s fps performance and reduce latency in-game. Combining these two together can definitely ensure the best performance a player can get from their games.
Rust is an online survival game that can sometimes be competitive. It demands players to have a good system performance in order to become efficient in the game. Thankfully, with the latest update coming soon, this will no longer be an issue. DLSS and Nvidia Reflex support will be available by July 1, so be sure to upgrade your graphics card drivers by then.
