In a press release earlier today, Riot Games unveiled the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship trophy and it is majestic.

Aethetics-wise, the trophy that the winning team of Wild Rift Icons 2022 will receive already looks spectacular. But just about every aspect of this trophy has a symbolism – a callout to the journey that the champion has been through to add this to their trophy case.

The Icons 2022 trophy has eight “petals,” each representing a league of Wild Rift Esports: WBR, WRL, WCS, WCK, WJC, WOL, WNS, and WREC. Adorned at the top of the trophy is a logo that symbolizes a battle – a clash that the team has went through countless times to attain the trophy. Through the negative space behind it, the logo also symbolizes the change that Icons bring to the world around them.

This meaningful award will be awarded to the first ever global champions of Wild Rift Icons, currently being held at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore. The finals will take place on July 9.

It is currently in its play-ins stage. 24 teams compete for the title of Icons, the trophy, their cut of the $2,000,000 USD prize pool, and of course, having the honor of being the first global champions.
