Many EA College Football 25 players, whether they're on PS5, or Xbox Series X, are curious to know if the game has Crossplay functionality. If so, this would allow players on different platforms to connect with each other across various modes. However, we're also curious as to the extend of crossplay. Is it coming for all modes? Let's find out.
Will EA College Football 25 Have Crossplay?

Yes, EA College Football 25 will support Crossplay for the following modes:
- Road to the College Football Playoff
- College Football Ultimate Team
- Auction House will NOT be Cross-platform
- Play a Friend
However, EA College Football will not support crossplay for Online Dynasty mode. Unfortunately, this feels like the one mode that should definitely support crossplay, considering it's among the games more popular modes. That said, EA Sports could always add it in a future update like they did with Madden 24. But at this point, there is no official confirmation.
In the meanwhile, you can at least use Crossplay in the modes mentioned above:
- Play A Friend – Basic mode where you can play against friends in an exhibition match online
- Road To The College Football Playoffs – Pick any of the 134 FB schools and climb the leaderboards by beating opponents and “securing votes” to level up the next division. The more wins you stack, the higher your chances of playing in the playoffs.
- College Football Ultimate Team – EA's controversial card-collecting mode makes its way into College Football 25. We couldn't get Mascot mode, so we'll have to settle for opening packs and hoping we get the 99 OVR Jerry Rice player item. Jokes aside, Ultimate Team does support Crossplay. However, the Auction House feature itself is not cross-platform compatible.
So if you like playing some of these modes, you may have smaller wait times to find other players. Overall, Crossplay makes the experience of finding online matches much more conveniently. But of course, if you don't want to play with the rival console, you can always turn off crossplay. In fact, turning it off sometimes alleviates connection issues sometimes.
Nevertheless, Cross-platform makes its way to EA College Football 25, which is only releasing on the most current video game consoles. PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch players will have to watch from the sidelines as XSX and PS5 players duke it out online. We look forward to seeing it in action this July.
Overall, that includes everything we know about EA College Football 25 Crossplay so far. We hope to see Crossplay make its way to Dynasty. But for now, we're just glad to see the game make a come back after all these years. Here's to hoping for some awesome EA College Football 25 memories.
