HoYoverse has announced that the Special Program Livestream for Genshin Impact's version 2.6 will be on March 18, 2022. The exact timing is as follows:

08:00 AM ET
05:00 AM PT
07:00 AM CT
08:00 PM SGT

What to expect from the 2.6 patch

Perhaps the most important announcement fans should look forward to in Genshin Impact 2.6 is the official reveal of Kamisato Ayato, the older brother of Kamisato Ayaka. Ayato has been one of the most hyped new characters in the game, as many players have been anticipating the character even before he was officially revealed. Drawing only from conversation texts and some item descriptions, players have been speculating on what Ayato is like. Leaks and rumors eventually made their way on the airwaves until HoYoverse themselves released his official artwork.

As for new locations, The Chasm will be the new area in this patch. The Chasm lies to the West of Liyue, beyond Azhdaha's and the Geo Primovishaps' lairs. It is the primary source of ores in the region. The location has been closed off by the Liyue Qixing in recent times due to tremors and earthquakes. The Boss for The Chasm is a ruin guard called Ruin Serpent, a serpent-like robotic monster.

For the character banners, Kazuha, Ayaka, and Venti are all rumored to be coming back during this patch, with Kazuha's banner coinciding with Ayato's. It has also been rumored that Kazuha will get the continuation of his Story Quest in this patch. It has also been rumored that Thoma will be appearing as a free giveaway character during this patch, distributed to players one way or another.

Genshin Impact version 2.6 will be coming out on March 30, 2022.
