Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett was almost a goat in the College Football Playoff National Championship against Alabama, with a crazy fumble resulting in the Crimson Tide taking a second-half lead. But then Bennett turned into a hero, throwing two clutch touchdown passes to help lead the Bulldogs to a 33-18 win and their first national title in over 40 years.

Bennett has an incredible story. He first went to Georgia as a walk-on in 2017 and then went to junior college before returning to the Bulldogs on a scholarship. The quarterback then was a backup behind JT Daniels at the start of this season before taking over and keeping the job.

With a story like this, it was only natural for Bennett to go on Good Morning America after winning the national title. And, also naturally, it looked like the Georgia quarterback had himself a wild night:

I think I'm drunk/hungover just watching this interview. Good for Bennett for actually making it to this appearance after what surely was an epic celebration.

Stetson Bennett will never have to pay for another drink in Georgia again after leading the Bulldogs to a national championship over the Heisman Trophy winner in Bryce Young and Nick Saban's mighty Alabama program. This had to feel especially sweet after Georgia got rocked by Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

There's going to be a lot more celebrating for Stetson Bennett and the Georgia Bulldogs. Drink it in, because it's going to be quite the whirlwind.
