The New York Giants will meet with West Virginia University quarterback Will Grier on Thursday, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The Giants' interest in Grier seems to be real, as New York was also reported to be intrigued by the signal-caller earlier in the pre-draft process. Grier's stock rose when he impressed teams at his Pro Day.

Schefter reports that an NFL scout said Grier “put on a show” and predicted that he is a “riser” in the NFL Draft, which takes place later this month.

Grier, who is expected to meet with at least 10 teams before the draft, is coming off of a terrific senior campaign in which he threw for 3,864 yards, 37 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while completing 67 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 175.5.

The 24-year-old originally began his collegiate career at the University of Florida back in 2015, playing in six games and throwing for 1,202 yards, 10 touchdowns, and three picks while completing 65.6 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 145.6 during his freshman year.

However, Grier decided to transfer to West Virginia after the season and had to sit out his sophomore year as a result.

His first season with the Mountaineers was impressive, as he finished with 3,490 yards, 34 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions and registered a completion percentage of 64.4 percent and a passer rating of 162.7.

In a draft class that includes quarterbacks such as Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock, and Daniel Jones, it will certainly be interesting to see where Grier falls.

The Giants own the sixth pick of the first round.
