The New York Giants are the unique position of potentially snagging a franchise-changing player at the second overall pick in this year's draft. The team has a plethora of options available to him at that selection that the front office will have in front of them to choose from.

At that the same time, New York doesn't appear to have honed in on any player to be their choice at their first-round selection. According to Matt Lombardo of NJ.com, the team has narrowed down their choice to three players at three of the top players at different positions.

This list shouldn't come as a surprise given that the Giants have a major need at each of these positions that these three players play. The clear-cut first choice has growingly become USC quarterback Sam Darnold as there have been numerous reports that the team will take him if the Cleveland Browns pass on him.

There have also been reports that the Browns are considering making Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen the top first overall pick, which could leave Darnold on the board for the Giants to take. However, if Cleveland does decide to select Darnold it could seemingly become a coin flip between Penn State running back Saquon Barkley and North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb.

The Giants could welcome addition of Barkley to step in and lead their running game as the primary starter, which is something that they haven't had in quite some time. Meanwhile, Chubb is regarded as being arguably the most talented defensive player in this draft class and could immediately step in to replace Jason Pierre-Paul, who was traded earlier this offseason to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If this scenario plays out, it could simply come down to which position they fill is more valuable to the team's long-term success. All of this simply makes the draft process for the Giants that much more intriguing and potentially become quite a difficult decision at the second overall selection later this month.
