Among the players rumored to be mulling a switch were Bryson DeChambeau and Dustin Johnson, both of whom were believed to have received significant offers from the Saudi League to join its forces. Amid all the chatter surrounding his name, Johnson has issued a statement hoping to put the whispers to bed once and for all, adamantly declaring that he's committed to the PGA Tour on Sunday.

The statement was issued via the PGA Tour Communications' Twitter account, and in his address, Johnson claims that he is “fully-committed to the PGA Tour.”

The rumors regarding Johnson's future in the PGA have come amid the Saudi Super League's efforts to poach some of the world's top golfers. One PGA Tour player, Kramer Hickok, claims that as many as 17 players have already reached agreements to join the Saudi-based golf league, with more potentially set to make the switch in the coming months.

Johnson is currently ranked as the No. 6 golfer in the world and is one of the most popular players on the PGA Tour. Naturally, a golfer of his caliber has been linked to the startup league, but Johnson declared Sunday that he's firmly in the PGA's corner, though he admitted, “there will always be areas where our TOUR can improve and evolve.”

DJ is among a handful of premier golfers, including Collin Morikawa, Rory McIlroy, John Rahm, Brooks Koepka, and more, who have pledged their allegiance to the PGA amid the rumblings from the Saudi League.
