Sam Ryder had the entire crowd at the TPC Scottsdale go absolutely nuts with one of the most incredible shots made in the ongoing 2021-22 PGA TOUR season. Ryder sent everyone into a frenzy when he pulled off a hole-in-one on the 16th hole. Ryder's shot and the stunning setting blended nicely for a majestic view of the entire sequence.

Although that shot gave Ryder's position in the leaderboard a boost, he is still way off the top guns. He is currently 29th after three rounds. Still, Ryder's 13-spot improvement means that he is on pace to have his best finish in the PGA TOUR since the calendar flipped to 2022. His best finish on the season was a T-7 at the ZOZO Championship back in October 2021. Since then, however, he's missed the cut four times in seven starts, with his best finish over that stretch being a T-49 at The American Express last January.
Moreover, Ryder is on track for the highest finish in his career at TPC Scottsdale, where he has failed to even crack the top 50 in three starts there overall.

Sahith Theegala leads the field with a 14-under score, while Brooks Koepka is right behind him with a 13-under.
