Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. was listed as “questionable” with calf soreness before the team takes on the Memphis Grizzlies, the team's PR wrote in a Sunday tweet.

Five players, including center Steven Adams and forward Brandon Clarke, were listed as “out.”

Jaren Jackson Jr., a first-time All-Star for the Grizzlies in the 2022-23 season, last played in just above 29 minutes of a 14-point win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday. He scored a game-leading 31 points against the Warriors, making 12 of his 22 attempts as he found open opportunities at the top of the 3-point arc or in the paint. Jackson used two pump fakes to create enough space for an open floater in the first quarter, putting the Grizzlies up by six points and giving guard Tyus Jones his sixth assist of the game.

“The ball's moving and multiple guys are getting opportunities,” Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane said after the game. “Coming down the stretch when everybody's been involved in the game, it is easy to step up and knock down a big shot.”

Jaren Jackson Jr. set his sights on earning the Defensive Player of the Year Award after he made his All-Star game debut in February for Team LeBron during an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio.

“I didn't have it as a goal, if it came about, cool,” said Jaren Jackson Jr. “But that's really what it was about, it just started coming about cause I'm doing everything to help the team win which includes defense.”

Guards Kyrie Irving, Luka Doncic, and forward Markieff Morris were listed on the Mavs' injury report,  with the trio labeled as “questionable.”

The Grizzlies will tip off against the Mavs at 7 p.m. CDT on Monday in FedExForum. The game will be broadcasted on NBA TV and Bally Sports Southwest.
