Memphis Grizzlies rookie point guard Ja Morant finally executed a highlight-reel dunk after a few failed attempts this season, burying Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes under the basket with a sky-walking, right-handed throwdown in Wednesday's 115-108 win.

The Rookie of the Year frontrunner got the Baynes matchup on the right wing and abused it, driving past the big man and soaring over the rugged defender for an emphatic slam:

Morant had tried to have his moment in the past, to no avail. Needless to say, the Grizzlies rookie was glad to finally finish after trying to murder the rim in past occasions:

“It felt good,” said Morant after the game, according to David Cobb of The Commercial Appeal. “I could have made all the other ones. I think I just tried to dunk them too hard.”

There was nothing soft about this Morant dunk, as he took the body contact of a player easily 90 pounds heavier than him and did so in style, giving the Grizzlies a six-point cushion in crunch time.

Morant finished the game with 13 points, but none were more spectacular than the two he threw down over Aron Baynes' head — undoubtedly one of the moments that will play on his highlight reel once the finalists for the Rookie of the Year award are announced at season's end.
