Tee Morant is Ja Morant's biggest supporter and, well, hater. The father of the Memphis Grizzlies star keeps pushing his son to become even better, making sure that he's not being complacent with what he has achieved. Of course, that continues until this day.

In a sneak peek of an interview with Malika Andrews of ESPN, Morant opened up about how his dad keeps him humble and encourages him to be better. The Grizzlies youngster also highlighted how his father's harsh words towards him has helped him deal with the other haters who keep criticizing what he does.

“Still to this day sometimes during the game he's like ‘you still overrated, you still suck.' If I can take it from my dad … nobody else opinion pretty much matters,” Morant shared.

Ja Morant's rise to superstardom has been incredible to watch. He has powered the Grizzlies to the second seed in the tough Western Conference, and there is no doubt he has established himself as the most electrifying player to watch in the NBA.

Sure enough, Tee Morant has played a big role in helping his son take that next level, and it is quite clear he is not stopping from motivating Ja to do even better.

That's definitely great news for the Grizzlies, as it looks like they have a player who could very well be the face of the NBA sooner rather than later.

For what it's worth, Morant has been getting a ton of praise for his recent play. Some even consider him to be in the MVP conversation given how incredible he has played and how the Grizzlies are thriving with him leading the war.

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant even showed admiration for the Grizzlies guard recently, sharing how he sees shades of Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose in him.

“[Jo Morant is] a combination of players, I feel,” Durant said, via Dave Early of ClutchPoints. “I think the greatest players in our game can transform into anybody at any given point. And I think Ja is on the way to that. I mean I see, like, when he’s playing I see like two, or three, four different Hall of Famers in his game.”

Sky is the limit for Morant, and lucky for him, he has a strong support group behind him that helps him be mentally prepared for the challenge.
