Ja Morant scored a career-high 46 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a tough win over the Chicago Bulls. Memphis continues to grit its way to wins and establish itself as a serious threat in the Western Conference.

Steven Adams took a little detour by letting loose a little. He complimented a reporter, Shawn Coleman of SB Nation's Grizzly Bear Blues, on his Tennessee accent during the post-game media availability session. Coleman shot Adams a compliment right back to him for his New Zealand accent and said that he appreciated the exchange.

Because of funny moments like these, Adams personifies the “gentle giant” label. Even on the court, where he is one of the strongest and most burly players in the league, he has shown great sportsmanship over the years. Memphis greatly benefits from his leadership and selflessness.

Adams' physicality meshes perfectly with the franchise previously known for it. In his first season with the Grizzlies, he is scoring 7.1 points per game while averaging career highs in rebounds (9.8) and assists per game (3.3) despite playing only the sixth-most minutes per game of his career.

Memphis is 42-20 and is third in the conference. Adams is one of the few veterans on the team. Although the young players lead the way, he plays a key role as the starting center. His steady and intimidating presence inside is valuable to the Grizzlies, who are looking to put their name on the map.
