Tensions flared in the Bronx over the weekend when Cleveland Guardians outfielder Myles Straw was heckled by some not-so-friendly New York Yankees fans. Things escalated after some more choice words were exchanged, culminating in Straw climbing up the wall and getting into the faces of the heckling fans. While face-to-face, Straw challenged the Yankees fans with some very NSFW comments before being convinced to climb back down and return to the field. Now we know just what was said, courtesy of Jomboy.

Not only did Straw get into the face of the Yankees fans, but he actually challenged them to hit him, before unleashing some profanities in their direction.

The incident occurred amid a walk-off win for the Yankees, during which Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan was shaken up after trying to make a play on the wall. Fans were less than kind to the ailing Kwan, which riled up his teammates, particularly Oscar Mercado and Straw.

One Twitter user, @Xan_Cohn, managed to transcribe what was said between the Yankees fans and Guardians players, and it seems as if things got pretty nasty.

While the exchange was short-lived, it's wild to see just how aggravated Straw got after being heckled. Yankees Stadium has never been a particularly friendly grounds for opposing players, for better or for worse, and Straw witnessed that first-hand. Unfortunately, he let his temper get the best of him, though there were some across the league that felt his actions were justified.

Fans snapping back at chirping fans is par for the course in all professional sports, but Straw took things to a new level by getting directly in the face of the ridiculing Yankees fans.
