Hassan Whiteside has been battling injuries all season that have caused him to miss 29 games with the Miami Heat this season. However, that isn't the only reason Whiteside hasn't played as many minutes on the court.

Following a heartbreaking 110-109 OT loss at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets, Whiteside vented frustration. Not solely for the OT loss, but due to the fact that he only played 20 minutes in the game including no time in the 4th quarter nor OT.

Being the highest paid player on the Heat's roster, it seems he has every right to question the decision by Erik Spoelstra and co. After the game he said:

“A lot of teams don't have a good center. They are going to use their strengths. It's bulls—. It's really bulls—, man. There are a lot of teams that can use a center.”

This is just Whiteside's 2nd game back after missing nine games due to left hip pain. Before Whiteside's comments, Spoeltra did tell reporters that Whiteside was still in the process of getting his stamina back.

Whiteside however seemed skeptical of the minutes restriction, stating:

“The minutes have been like that all year. It's really frustrating. … It's tough. I don't know, man. It's crazy. I don't understand it.”

One reporter even asked him if this affects his future in Miami to which he responded:

“I don't know. Maybe.”

He finished the game with 14 points, six rebounds and added two blocks. With 2 years remaining on his 4-year, $98M deal, the next chapter for Whiteside will be an interesting story to keep tabs on.
